65 Years in Business

50-Year-Celebration

Jennifer Foley is so proud to have reached 65 Years in Business. In 1949 the Salon doors were opened by her Mother Maureen Foley. Maureen trained as a hair dresser in Thuilliers Hair Salon on Wicklow Street in Dublin. Maureen began her training when she was 14 years old, something unheard of in this day and age. When she was 27 she opened the doors of Foleys and very quickly built a high reputation in the Clontarf and Wider area.

Maureen and her husband Jack lived over the Family Business at 63 Clontarf Road, and as a result Jennifer and her siblings were reared within the Family Business. Jennifer and her Brother Vincent were both trained up as Hair Dressers. When Jennifer was 18 and finished education in Santa Sabina in Sutton she joined her brother working in the Salon. They were both sent off to reputable salons in Dublin to gain further experience. Both eventually coming back to the salon to help manage the family business. In 1983 Jennifer took over the family business, while Maureen finally enjoyed the relaxing side of life, but kept a firm eye on Jennifer and the Business.

Jennifer took the business from strength to strength, in 2010 Jennifer opened the Wig element of the Business, as a close friend was searching for a wig, Jennifer felt there was a real need for a hair and wig specialist who could help people not only find a suitable Wig but also help with the aftercare and regrowth of hair.

The Salon is still at its original location of 63 Clontarf Road.
